Study Plan

Feel free to tweak this to fit your schedule and timeframe. This is a suggestion, not a guarantee to a pass.

Day 1-

  • Test- Take REA I
  • Review topic for today is literature. Practice quizlets, review REA Chapter 2, and refresh your memory by looking through the English Literature textbook, and The Humanities in Western Culture textbook. Wikipedia both English and American literature and click on any links you aren't familiar with or want to investigate. Consider watching a few films (with parents consent of course)
  • Practice

Day 2-

  • Test- Review REA I. Make true statements out of the detailed Explanations of Answers. Google what you are not familiar with even if it was a wrong answer choice. Make good notes that will help you on review day. 
  • Review topic for today is poetry and Religion. Continue working on quizlets, reading textbooks, and exploring Wikipedia. Mindmap the periods of literature. Spend some time today exploring Shakespeare his plays and sonnets. Consider watching movies based on his plays. 
  • Practice

Day 3-

  • Test- Take REA II
  • Review this is the last day you are emphasizing literature. Tie up any loose ends. Emphasize Fiction and non-fiction including philosophy. Use numonics and other memory techniques to help you cement these names, works plots in your mind.
  • Practice

Day 4-

  • Test- Review REA II Make true statements out of the detailed Explanations of Answers. Google what you are not familiar with even if it was a wrong answer choice. Make good notes that will help you on review day. 
  • Review topic for today is Music. Use your The Humanities and Western Culture textbook and REA book to refresh your memory. Wikipedia various composers and periods. Pull up Itunes and preview music to get a feel of the composers. Create a timeline of the periods with the major composers. 
  • Practice

Day 5-


Day 6-


Day 7-

  • Test -Review REA III Make true statements out of the detailed Explanations of Answers. Google what you are not familiar with even if it was a wrong answer choice. Make good notes that will help you on review day. 
  • Review the topic for today is Art and Architecture with an emphasis on Reformation through Impressionism. Use your various textbook and Wikipedia to gain a firm grasp of the look of the various periods, the artists, and the major works. Put an emphasis on those images, artists and movements covered in the quizlets. 
  • Practice

Day 8-

  • Test - Review CLEP Official Make true statements out the correct answers. Google what you are not familiar with even if it was a wrong answer choice. Make good notes that will help you on review day. 
  • Review the topic for today is Art and Architecture with an emphasis on Post-impressionism through the present day. Use your various textbook and Wikipedia to gain a firm grasp of the look of the various periods, the artists, and the major works. Put an emphasis on those images, artists and movements covered in the quizlets. 
  • Practice

Day 9-

  • Review notes. Mind map, create numonics, make sketches. Make the notes you took 'stick'. Continue to research the areas you feel weak in. 
  • Make sure you get enough sleep and are in prime condition for test day.
  • Practice

Day 10-

  • Test Day
  • Make sure you have everything you need. Cash, ID, Credit Card, a good breakfast.
  • Let me know you are going so I can pray for you.

Take a poem or other piece of literature from the weeks assignments and explain the meaning, importance, and interpretation of the piece. At a minimum, you should have at least 5-7 sentences in your paragraph.

To write the paragraph you should find outside sources about the work and author. Make sure to site these sources on your paper.

These can be turned in handwritten or printed by the next week in class.
